The ground screw for decks
If you build decks, you need to know about the ground screw. Why? Because your time is money, and ground screws will save you loads of both.
If you're digging a hole and pouring concrete, you are spending multiple days building a foundation, when you could be spending hours. (Is now a good time to point out that concrete = time + lot$ of money spent on employee labor.)
With ground screws, you can have a solid foundation in a few hours - and then get right to building that day. Come on, it's worth investigating a bit more, don't you think?
Ground screws generally provide a 1-1 replacement for concrete footings - so wherever you have plans for a concrete footing, you can install a ground screw instead. The Model 3 ground screw is perfect for decks, and the 5' and 6' lengths are seamlessly installed with our E-Driver. Per the ICC Report, the load capacity for each screw is calculated based on soil type, so the 3" diameter screw has a minimum load capacity of 1700 lbf and maximum capacity of 2360 lbf, per screw.
